The 100 features characters who are cunning, brave, loyal, and brilliant. In other words, they would sort nicely into the houses at Hogwarts.
The CW’s The 100 is so many things all placed into one show. It is a space drama full of teen romance set in the middle of an apocalyptic world with mutants. It is as though the writers of the show just couldn’t make up their mind which direction they wanted to go, so they just mixed in all their ideas.
Surprisingly enough, it turned out to be a feasible plan. So, let’s add another idea to the mix. Which Hogwarts house would each The 100 character be sorted in to?
Clarke Griffin: Gryffindor
Clarke Griffin would be a perfect candidate for Gryffindor House. She is a take-charge type of individual, who successfully completes whatever she sets her mind to. People naturally follow Clarke due to her strong leadership abilities and her charismatic disposition. She is caring towards her friends and gracious towards her enemies. She has a daring personality who will take on any task no matter how dangerous it might seem. Clarke also would give her life for those she cares about.
Octavia Blake: Ravenclaw
Octavia can sometimes be run by her emotions. This has always been one of her downfalls but also one of her more positive traits. She has always been in the shadow of her older brother Bellamy but after meeting a grounder named Lincoln, she managed to find her voice. Since then, she has been an inspiration to those around her. Octavia seeks to solve problems using her vast intellect to comprehend information that others might not have picked up on.
Bellamy Blake: Slytherin
Upon first landing on earth, Bellamy just felt like he was going to be the main antagonist of the series. Since he is basically the anti-Clarke. He is a resourceful character who isn’t bound by morals like some of the nicer characters are.
He is a leader who isn’t afraid to make the tough calls when needed. Making difficult choices isn’t for the faint of heart but he is one of the few capable of placing the good of the many above the few.
Raven Reyes: Ravenclaw
Raven exhibits the nature that many Ravenclaws possess. She has the upper-level intellect and can build just about anything that her mind can conceive. She is the one person that anyone would be thankful for having on their team when stuck in a tricky situation. Sadly, she lacks the leadership skills needed to be a Gryffindor but has the wit to help her succeed as a Ravenclaw. While her temper can sometimes get the best of her, she is a loyal friend and a great team member.
Finn Collins: Hufflepuff
In the world of The 100, the motives of even the most genuine of people can sometimes appear obscured. After all, it is a kill or be killed world with hardly any law on the entire planet. Finn is a sensitive soul who was born at the wrong time and arrived on the wrong planet. He is not a natural-born killer but is capable of becoming one under extreme pressure. His loyalty to his friends is admirable but is oftentimes not repaid in kind.
Lincoln was raised in a brutal world that showed little kindness to the weak. Because of his upbringing, he grew into a champion and exhibits this trait whenever challenged or threatened.
His bravery seems to know no bounds and his willingness to conquer the world if he has to for his friends is beyond compare. His love and dedication towards Octavia were one of his strong points but it was his ability to let her go if it meant saving her life that showed his true heroism.
John Murphy: Slytherin
Sometimes it is hard to define good and evil. If people are honest with themselves, they oftentimes will understand that they are somewhere in between. The same can be said for John Murphy, who isn’t above murdering if it meant furthering his own goals. For the most part, he lives his life for himself and that is pretty much what has kept him alive for so long. To a certain extent, he was one of the better prepared of the 100 that landed to survive on the planet.
Monty Green: Ravenclaw
Many of the 100 that landed on earth had a background in deceit along with some form of criminal history. Monty was one of the few that actually had a disdain for hurting others. In fact, he could almost be described as a pacifist. It was his brains, not brutality that helped him survive when some of the stronger faded away. His attention to detail along with the loyalty he exhibited to his friends helped him build allies in a world that is unkind.
Wells Jaha: Gryffindor
Certain characters instinctively have leadership skills that they use to help instruct those under them with the tasks that need to be completed. Jaha was raised to be a leader and was instructed by his father in how to implement these skills when faced with real-world dilemmas.
He is courageous when faced with stressing adversity and strong-willed enough to stay focused on completing his mission. Someone with these specific skill sets would be a perfect candidate to represent Gryffindor House.
Jasper Jordan: Hufflepuff
Like Finn, Jasper wasn’t meant for the unfairness that this world offers. His inability to let go of the past was one of the main factors that ended his life. Yet, this guilt that he held inside was mainly due to his honest loyalty that he showed for others. He was one of the few characters that never tried to be in charge. His only desire was to live free and happy with those closest to him. The humor he brought to others was his greatest gift.
