Supernatural: What Happened With Dean & Cas’ Spell Against God
In the Season 13 finale, Jack lost his grace. Does this mean he’s going to be human for Supernatural Season 14 or is there some hope with regenerating grace?
Lucifer did the one thing we expected him to. He only thought of himself and when he didn’t get his own way with Jack, he stole his own son’s grace in the Season 13 finale. Now it’s left a lot of questions for Supernatural Season 14 UK. What will happen to Jack now?
The season had set up the idea that grace could regenerate over time, as long as only a little was extracted at a time. This wasn’t something mentioned in previous seasons–remember when Castiel was turned human?–and did seem to be introduced to help set up Lucifer’s storyline for the 13th season and Gabriel’s return. Fortunately, it may also be good for Jack.
There’s a chance that Lucifer never took all of Jack’s grace. This would make sense since Lucifer would have likely wanted to keep Jack on tap to continue being the all-powerful archangel. After all, stolen grace starts to fade over time. He likely believed that Jack would do the selfish thing and kill Sam to live. Of course, it all turned out very differently and Lucifer was killed.
Sam certainly seemed to think that Jack’s grace would regenerate. He even seemed to think that with Lucifer’s death, Jack would get his grace back. This sort of theory has never been mentioned before, but may have been said as foreshadowing for Supernatural Season 14. There’s a high chance that Jack will get his grace back; at least, in some way.
Jack will most likely be needed to take down Michael. There are no other archangels left to do it, so that means the nougat-loving nephilim will need to help to save Dean.
What do you think will happen to Jack in Supernatural Season 14? Are you excited about his storylines coming up?
