What’s it about
This complete series is very fast-paced and a bit predictable in ways. There’s a large focus on mental health issues vs. physical health issues, and how one can easily be mistaken for the other. There is also a lot of focus on 3 of the main relationships between the doctors, as well as the usual moral dilemmas that plague them with each other and with their patients. There’s a ton of constant drama, the acting is pretty good by all the main characters, but it’s not always believable. There’s a lot more violence and aggression packed into each episode this season. It seems like many of the patients are ticking time bombs, and it’s taking a major toll on the doctors, their mentality, and decision-making skills.
Overall Chicago Med is entertaining and difficult to stop watching. It’s never boring, and this season, the stakes are higher than ever. Emotions and instabilities are explored more thoroughly, and the difficulties of high stress jobs and relationships are highlighted. Everyone seems to be troubled in some way. There’s a lot going on, and it seems like oftentimes these professionals let their feelings get the better of them.
It’s worth seeing.
